“Plazilla” by Dean Velez, an Atlanta-based artist/designer who has been a long time fan and supporter of the Plaza.

Velez: “I remember as a kid I always liked things that scared me. Things that could eat people like huge monsters, creepy aliens, killer robots, giant insects and brain dead zombies! Creatures that tower over us... Godzilla, King Kong and that big lady that got pissed off in Attack of the 50 foot woman. All of these things and a steady stream of comic books influenced me quite early on. This Godzilla inspired print is an homage to my childhood...a time when these things were real for me. When colors seemed more vibrant and illustrations seemed like they were ALIVE and ready to jump off the page.”
